Mana Podiatry

Resonance Podiatry in Mana is located within the multidisciplinary clinic at the Mana Medical Centre, just north of Porirua city along State Highway 1. Our medical complex also is the home to a team of physiotherapists, orthopaedic surgeons, doctors and psychologist allowing our podiatrists the opportunity to work collaboratively. We have two clinical rooms; a general podiatry room where our experienced podiatrists treat comfort care related foot issues as well as perform minor foot surgical procedures. Our second room is the one of a kind ‘gait lab’ where our clinicians use video gait and postural analysis as a tool which helps give a clear clinical picture, assisting our team in identifying the cause of imbalances resulting in pain. We use leading edge technology consisting of force platforms embedded in a static walkway to monitor forces and pressures produced between you and the ground; specialised computer-interfaced video cameras to measure patient motion; and sophisticated software which provides valuable patient data. This allows the Mana podiatry clinic to treat and manage a diverse array of clientele; from the young and the ‘young at heart’.

Mana Podiatry is a registered ACC provider and an Allied Health Services Standard accredited clinic.

    Specialising in children’s podiatry

    Children play

Podopaediatrics is an area of podiatry focused on the diagnosis and treatment of foot disorders in children. Your podopaediatrician (children’ s podiatrist) understands the basic principles of child development, relevant milestones, normal and abnormal development, and commonly occurring foot problems in the child.

Painful legs and feet are common amongst children and adolescents, but pain is by no means normal. Pain should always be investigated if symptoms persist for 48 hours or more, if there is associated falling or tripping or self-withdrawal from sports and activity occurs.

Some of the more common areas of concern for parents include their children’s flat feet, in-toeing, heel pain, toe walking, ingrown toenails, plantar warts and skin rashes, and uneven or rapid shoe wear.

It is important to have your child’s feet evaluated by an experienced children’s podiatrist every year from around the age of four.

Our Resonance podiatrists can educate parents on appropriate footwear and normal development to provide peace of mind and sound management options.

    Chantelle Crossland Wellington City

    Resonance Capital Podiatry Centre

Chantelle is a British Podiatrist, with her prior experience in a musculoskeletal focused clinic in Singapore for the past 4 years. Apart from treating adults for conditions such as chronic heel pain and Achilles tendon injuries with her uniquely gentle approach, Chantelle also connects very well with young children, treating a wide variety of paediatric cases. Patients who come to her for advice often comment that she is very warm-hearted and patient, whilst being very detailed in her clinical explanations of lower limb conditions.

Chantelle’s interest in podiatry grew as she discovered it is often the preferred conservative method for treating sports-related injuries. This interest has continued to shape her clinical practice today, by utilising treatments such as shockwave therapy to aid in her patient’s recovery and function.

Whether dealing with chronic pain concerns or soft tissue injuries like ingrown toenails and warts, Chantelle’s view of attention to patient-centred care and well-thought-out treatment plans, allows her patients’ to achieve optimal long term outcomes.

Outside of work, Chantelle is keen on exploring and learning about other cultures around the world with a love for interacting with new people and gaining life experiences. She also is often transported to new places with her passion for reading.
