Porirua – Mana
Akira is passionate about improving the mobility, independence, and quality of patients lives.
She practices in palliative podiatry care looking at various interesting nail and skin conditions. Akira has experience in wound care, nail wedge surgery, laser therapy for onychomycotic nails, palliative care, wart treatment, and the construction and making of orthosis. In doing so, she takes a holistic approach to management and treatment within a multi-disciplinary environment. This ensures comprehensive care is provided for each patient, such care being uniquely suited to each patient.
Akira is working using the latest biomechanical equipment to assess and determine various gait abnormalities and find the best solution for each patient’s needs. A detailed gait analysis can provide patients with the most suitable footwear, custom orthotics, and rehabilitation for a positive prognosis.
Akira will be working alongside Parisa Forouzandeh at Mana Resonance Podiatry in the Mana Medical Centre.
When Akira is not working, she is exploring the Wellington area on various hiking trails and mountain bike trails.
